TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITORS

VLDB 2002 offers technology companies the opportunity to exhibit their systems and products at the conference to academics, researchers and practitioners from around the world and, particularly, from China. All technology exhibitions are based on a standard exhibit space of 10 square meters that is on a 24 hr-hold basis. This space is equipped with a table and two chairs; background panels as needed; power supply (220V, 50 Hz, U.K. standard sockets - 3 rectangular pins). Each such space is offered for a flat fee of HK$15,000 (~US$2,000). Costs are based on an exhibit being set up early on the morning of Tuesday, August 20 and broken down on the evening of Thursday, August 22. Larger spaces are possible with costs subject to individual negotiation. Please note that exhibition space is included in some of the sponsorship packages. Additional, furniture, telecommunications, etc. can also be arranged; such arrangements can be made directly with the hotel once an exhibit space has been booked.

RECRUITMENT EXHIBITORS

VLDB 2002 offers companies the opportunity to recruit database staff with advanced (usually Ph.D.) degrees. Normally, around 100 (post)graduate students from all over the world attend the VLDB conferences. All recruitment exhibitions are based on a standard exhibit space of 10 square meters that is on a daily-use basis. This space is equipped with a table and two chairs; background panels as needed; power supply (220V, 50 Hz, U.K. standard sockets - 3 rectangular pins). Each such space is offered for a flat fee of HK$7,500 (~US$1,000). Costs are based on an exhibit being set up early each morning and being taken down each evening from Tuesday, August 20 to Thursday, August 22, inclusive. Larger spaces are possible with costs subject to individual negotiation. Please note that exhibition space is included in some of the sponsorship packages.
